When you start a new website design or branding project, it can be quite daunting to hire a designer because you don’t really know what the end result will look like.
That’s why we create a mood board BEFORE your website is designed. Watch this quick video below to show you how powerful our mood boards are…

The first step for a designer:
Is to really take the time to understand your business, your offers, your audience, and research your niche, including your competitors.
Then most designers will usually start wireframing out the web pages, then spend days designing a look and feel that they think you’ll love. That’s risky for you and for the designer. What if you hate the design, and the design only offers 3 rounds of revisions?
That’s quite common. Then you get to the last round and you still don’t like the design, but you have paid for it. The designer reminds you of their terms. You go back and forth trying to negotiate a way forward or a way out of the agreement, and it’s a lose-lose situation.
Not much fun, right?
That’s where a Mood Board comes in to solve that problem!
A Mood Board is where the true magic happens.
A mood board is essentially a collage of conceptual ideas, graphic design styles & compositions, images, color palettes, photography direction, elements, and fonts.
An effective mood board will aesthetically tell a story that defines your brand and communicates your brand’s new identity direction that’s unique to your business.
Brand mood boards are a key design tool for defining the overall style, aesthetics, and visual language of your brand.
They are a great way to establish the tone of your brand and allow you to see what you like and what you don’t like which then provides you confidence in how we then design your website, socials, logo, & marketing graphics, etc.
Here’s what one of our clients had to say about the mood board we created for them:
“From the comprehensive briefing phase to then seeing the mood board and brand direction gave me complete confidence that they understood what we’re trying to do, the market we’re trying to connect with and the culture of our business, even before the website design process was started.”
